Dear Facebook

Yesterday, you’ve temporarily suspended my Facebook account and wanted me to send some Identification to confirm ownership which I sent as soon as I noticed I couldn’t log into my account.  Then this morning you sent me another email saying I needed to send a government issued ID which I already did the first time.  Now if you won’t accept my passport ID, I’m not sure which other government issued ID I can send you.

Like I explained to you on my message, I made that Facebook account primarily for my blog only, hence the name Little Steps (Dean B).  I understand the need to curb down underage users, I can assure you I am past that, although admittedly it would be nice to be under 18.  Sadly, I am a woman in my 40s now although  come to think of it, I wouldn’t want to be under 18 again.   I am perfectly okay to be middle-aged now 😉  And I can also assure you I am the sole owner of that account and like I already mentioned, it is mainly be used for my blog’s page Little Steps.

I’ve just re-sent you my passport ID and an explanation that looks a lot like this.  Hopefully, you will reinstate my profile ASAP.  I kinda need it back please.

To all my blogger friends, my family and the few “friends” I have on my Facebook profile (like I mentioned for the nth time, only use that profile for my blog, I’m not even “friends” with a lot of my friends who have Facebook profiles), if you notice any weird posts, that is so not-me, it probably isn’t me, since I can’t even access my own account.

All the best,

Dean of Little Steps

  1. Oh dear!! How frustrating! I hope you get it sorted soon!!
I wouldn’t want to be under 18 again either, as much as I hate getting old! 😉 #Sharingthebloglove

    • I hope so too, especially since I’ve already submitted the government issued ID they’ve required of me 🙁

Facebook can be so frustrating at times can’t it? I wouldn’t even know where to begin with the predicament you are having. Hopefully things are smoothed over quickly and they hear your words loud and clear! #sharingthebloglove

Oh this happened to me with my blog account too – so frustrating! They wouldnt let me back on until I changed the name to my own name, which I didnt want to do as I wanted to keep my blogging separate from my personal account but now I have my family sending friend requests to the blog account – annoying! #sharingthebloglove

    • It is indeed frustrating. Hopefully it will get sorted out soon. Like you, I only use my FB primarily for my blog 🙂

I hate when you get caught up in red tape like this – it feels like they can do whatever they want. Such a frustrating situation – it looks like you’ve got it sorted now though? Thanks so much for joining us again at #SharingtheBlogLove

    • Yes, it’s definitely sorted now but they decided that I should use my second name. Don’t want to argue with them in case they decide to suspend my account again.

I just couldn’t believe when I saw this pop up on my twitter feed and I went to have a read. It’s like the power has gone to someones head and they can’t see common sense anymore. I am so pleased you got it sorted, even though its annoying you have to use your second name! Thanks for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove Laura x
