We’ve had a good week. The temperature has improved (unless of course it changes again) and it really feels like spring has sprung. It has actually been warm enough to wear sandals to do the school run, but admittedly, it can still be a bit cold when there’s a breeze, but instead of wearing a bulky coat, a cardigan will do. We’ve also had loads of lovely sunshine, blue skies, and the days are now longer. All this makes me rather feel giddy, hopeful even. Then again, today we woke up to grey skies and light rain, at least tomorrow’s forecast should be a good again.
I know winter is long gone, but I’ve only really felt the long shadow of winter leave the past few weeks and that spring is really here.
And it also looks like, our long house saga is about to end. I say this with caution because the last time I wrote about it, it fell apart. I still shudder with what we’ve had to go through, the stress, the tension, and how it affected us so much as a family. We’ve been living surrounded by boxes for over a month now and it’s awful. But I’m feeling hopeful about our situation. In fact, we’ve actually been talking about what to do and where to go for our summer holiday. We’ve been so consumed about the house move since September of last year, we didn’t have any room to think about anything else, let alone going away for the summer vacation.
As for little T, she is definitely back in the rhythm of going to school, doing homework, and attending her after school activities as well as playdates. I do hear a lot of “It’s not fair mum!” when I tell her it’s time to go to bed. Why do kids hate going to bed? As if they’re worried that as soon as they fall asleep, something exciting happens without them.
Even Boots seems to have accepted her fate of being an indoor cat instead of an outdoor one. She is also tolerating Doc more and can spend time in the same room with him, she still glares at him of course, and gives him hissing sounds whenever he dares go near her, but at least they seem to have accepted each others presence already.
We have errands to do in Plymouth on Saturday and T has a birthday party to attend on Sunday, so it’s going to be a bit of a busy weekend for us.
What about you?
How was your week?
