An Afternoon at the Playground

C’mon Doc, let’s go to the playground!

Woof, woof, woof!

But your mum is still resting her foot!

She won’t find out!

You know what she’s like when she’s in-front of her laptop.

Woof!  Woof!  Woof!

Yes!  She’s zoned-out.  Is your mum always weird like that?

Don’t be rude, Doc!  Don’t call my mum weird.

But yes, she gets like that when she’s blogging.

Never mind!  Quick!  Before she looks up!

Oh honestly Doc, can you slow down?  I’m not in yet!

Woof, woof, woof, woof!

Last one in is a rotten egg!

You’re a baddie Doc!

Woof, woof, woof, woof!

And you’re a slow-poke!

I’m hooking your leash by the fence!

Woof, woof, woof!

You’re  the baddie!

Watch me slide!  Now who are you calling a slow-poke?

Woof, woof, woof, woof!

Just wait till I get you!

Honestly Doc, let me up!

“Woof, woof!”

I’ve gotcha!

Let me go, Doc!

Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof!

Not till you let me off my leash!

I got away (sing-song voice)

Now I’m going to swing around in circles.  Watche me!

Woof! woof! woof!  woof!

If you get dizzy, I’m going to laugh!

Now you can watch me go see-saw…

Woof, woof, woof, woof!

I’m sulking now.  Let me off the leash!

Now watch me go round-and-road!

Go and sulk and watch me swing

Doc:  Grrr.

This post-is linked-up with Coombe Mill’s Country Kids.

Have a great weekend everyone! 🙂

  1. Coombe Mill - Fiona

They are fast becomming the best of friends and it will be great to watch them grow together. It looks like you had a great bright day to visit the park for some fun and freshair. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.

    • You actually have to either drag or bribe little To to go home from the playground. As for Doc, he’s just too excited to go anywhere 🙂

  2. Kriss MacDonald

Great poem to go with the wonderful pix! Love your daughter and doc playing together.

  3. That’s just wonderful and great photos – they look so happy together. Funnily enough we had a puppy chat last night. We need to get POD’s immune system up, think it might be next year we commit though – unless I come across a labrador pup and it will break me!

    • I think POD will love having a pup too. It’s hard work though, but when I see them together… so much worth it 🙂 Met a woman on the headland on one of our walks a week ago. She looked at me, at little T, then Doc and said “You’ve got your hands full!” 🙂

  4. T & pup are going to be the best of friends! Their adventures seem like a more rambunctious Christopher Robin & Winnie the Pooh! 🙂

    • Yes, they are! Although T seems to think that she’s Doc’s mummy. She says things like “Don’t worry Doc, mummy is here!” I’m too young to be a grandmother! Hahaha.
