“Hello, isn’t that your human over there?” Says the neighbour’s cat to little T’s Boots.
Bored Boots looks over her shoulders, yawns and stretches lazily before replying “Yes, she’s very pleased with her new bike.”
“What’s that thing behind her? Is it something I can play with?”
Boots sits up quickly and gives the other cat a warning hiss.
“Don’t you dare! That’s Cotton Bottom, my human’s favourite toy in the world!”
At the sound of her cat hissing, little T jumps off her bike and quickly rushes to her cat.
“What’s wrong, Bootsy?”
The other cat snorts. Boots glares at her then turns to little T.
“Oh for goodness sake human! How many times do I have to tell you no PDA!”
T looks perplexed, “PDA?”
Exasperated, Boots hisses “Public displays of affection!” With a huff she turns her back on little T, still looking a bit lost.
“Honestly Bootsy, do you really have to call me human? I have a name you know!”
Much to Boots’ annoyance, little T follows her.
“Oh for goodness sake human, leave me be!”
“Not till you call me by my name!”
Boots the cat gives up running away from little T and sprawls on the ground and purrs …
“You are my human, therefore, I call you human.”
“My name is T!”
“Oh whatever, c’mon human. Come and get my tea ready”.
“Oh okay then!”
Says T forgetting about the whole thing, jumps on her bike and follows her cat home.
