What’s the Story behind this photo?

We just came in from a walk and little T was patting her dog.  I quickly grabbed my camera hoping to capture the moment.  But when I focused, the scene before me was different. Doc must have quickly changed positions and was now lying on his back, with little T’s hand in his mouth and she was giggling away.

Please take your hand off his mouth, sweetie.

But we’re just playing.

I know that, but I don’t want you to to get hurt.

Doc sat up and looked at me a bit confused as if to say – Have I done something wrong?

I wanted to say, yes you have silly mutt!  Not now, but boy have you been in trouble!

You’ve gnarled bits of my coffee table and kitchen chair!

Sigh.  Why did we agree to have a dog?

Oh right, all because of little T.

They really love each other.

Looks like they have a wonderful relationship together

    • They do. He has never hurt her and is really careful, but it still makes me nervous whenever I see her hand in his mouth! Plus, he is still very much like a pup – overexcitable!

  2. Kate @ Did That Just Happen?

She is just so adorable! And he is still a puppy and he’d never purposely hurt her, he could unintentionally… so I do agree about no mouth play just yet! That would freak me out! Who am I kidding, I have a 6 lb adult dog and it still freaks me out when he and Mr. T get rowdy and teeth come into play!

I’m just too overprotective. 🙂 And I’m okay with that!

    • Oh and I’m okay with that too! Whenever Doc is in with us, I don’t leave them alone together. You’re right, he’s just a pup and wouldn’t do anything to intentionally hurt her. But at the end of the day, they are still dogs (animals) no matter how much we love them and treat them like a part of our family.

Best friends! Though with the teeth play. I play with my dogs like that and it hurts a bit so i think with a child it hurts more. They dont mean to hurt of course but they dont know their teeth’s power yet. But all in all dogs are just so adorable. whatsthestory

    • You’re right! That’s why I never really leave them alone together and warn her to be always careful 🙂

  4. Charly Dove

I was so hoping for a happy ending there and that last photo was even more adorable than I thought it would be! They’re just fabulous together they really are. I still remember that first image of the two of them when Doc was tiny. Great post thank you so much for sharing #whatsthestory

    • Yes, he has grown so much since the first photo! I don’t think he’ll grow much now, maybe just a little bit and then that’s it 🙂

  5. Californian Mum in London

That’s really sweet. And I especially like the last pic as they look like they are cuddling but also it looks like little T has doggy in a headlock. 🙂

    • She does that to him A LOT. Good thing he really is good with her, though of course it still makes me a bit nervous especially when she puts her hand in his mouth!

Such cute photos, especially the second one. He’s clearly really good with her!
