A Project: Interview with a Mother

I began this blog in May 2012.  I made it because online would-be clients would now and again ask for a link to my blog.  Being a writer, they always assume that you of course, have a blog.  I did have a blog, a personal one – one that I wasn’t willing to share with them.  In that other blog I was whiny, whingy and depressing.  I didn’t want to mar my chances to work with them.  After all, who would want to hire a writer who complains a lot, right?  So I thought of staring a different blog.  A blog about motherhood!  I don’t claim to be an expert on anything about motherhood.  But I’m a mother of my two-year-old and you could say I’m an expert when it comes to my own little one (even though the word itself makes me cringe).

Months went on and I kept blogging away, not really caring whether anyone else was noticing, until people started clicking on the “like” button.  When the first few likes started coming, I thought (still do actually) that it’s some automatic robot that clicks on the like buttons on random blogs.  (To those who have seriously read and clicked on the like buttons, thank you!  And please don’t be offended if I referred to you as a robot).  I don’t have dozens of clicks and only have a few followers (and one of them is related to me! hahaha) – to those who aren’t related, thank you (again) for following me.

You might be wondering now, where is this post heading?  Before you decide to un-follow me, please bear with me and I promise you I’m not just blabbing away without any direction.  Fine then, I’ll cut it short.

I felt the need to make my little blog, just a little bit more interesting.  Every month, I’m going to do an interview with a mother.  I’m going to start with people I know and when the project is up and running, I’m going to muster up the guts to approach other mommy bloggers (who have loads of followers) who wouldn’t mind being interviewed by an unknown blogger – little me.  I shall call it …

Yes, I know.  It sounds a lot like “Interview with a vampire” … To start the ball rolling, I’m going to do my own interview for this month of January.    But I’m going to do that for another day.  Your thoughts?
