Family Portrait

This is the first drawing little T has ever done of the three of us.  In the past she has drawn herself, me, or her Dada.  This time though, she decided to make a family portrait.  Too bad she drew it on her blackboard and not on paper.  It would’ve been nice to frame it.   Do you have a favourite drawing/painting made by your little one?

For the record, I’m not in any way bigger than my husband.  But for some weird reason (much to the amusement/delight of little T’s Dada) I am in this family portrait.

I’m linking this post up with PODcast’s What’s the Story.

Adorable picture. If Little T is anything like my kids, you will soon have lots of pictures you can actually keep. Ours have now taken over half of our tiny flat. I’m ashamed to say I haven’t kept them all. My favourites aren’t actually pictures at all, but some of my oldest child’s letters and stories. They have more meaning for me.

    • Aww letters and stories? So looking forward to those! That is, hopefully she’ll be like yours 🙂

how super cute! Of course, I’m considerably older, and that’s pretty much how I still draw people!

She is so tiny compared to mum and dada, it’s darling, super duper darling!! I’m glad you took a picture of it.

What a great drawing. I too have many beautiful drawings from my children they are so precious but it is hard to keep them all. I have my favourite pieces some of them I have framed and are up on my walls I just love them. A friend of mine use to take a photo of everything her children made or drew and that way was able to keep them all forever. Little T is very talented indeed.

    • Thanks! I’ve saved some of her paintings too, but not all. Otherwise, our whole house will be covered in them 🙂 And she’s only three, we’d run out of wall space even before she turns 5!

Lol I know what you mean. Still I can’t help but feel bad every time I get rid of something they have made.

Wow she has serious talent there!! I mean it too – F can’t draw a thing, he has only recently learnt to draw a circle. He does spend 99.9& of his time playing with cars though 😉

That’s brilliant Dean, she’s done an amazing job with drawing you all. Even without ears you look like human beans, great effort! Thank you for sharing with #whatsthestory

Will share in the morning 🙂

    • Do you know, I didn’t even notice that we didn’t have any ears! Hahaha. Thanks for pointing that one out 🙂

This is so cute! My daughter is always drawing us, often on the blackboard, too. You’ve photographed it so could always frame that?!
