Sunday is Chore Day

… specifically “change the sheets day”, and on this day, you will also hear a lot of “Get off the bed T”.

“Look at me mummy!”  Little T squeal as she jumps on the bed.

“Get off the bed T”  I say.

Weeee!”  She replies.

“Get off the bed T”  I say again.

“I can jump so high mummy!”

“Get off the bed T”  I say again, and again.

“I fell on my bum”  She says laughing hysterically.

“Get off the bed T”  I say again, and again, and again.

“No”  She says holding on to the headboard.

“Get of the $%&8@ bed!”

Incidentally, today is also Mother’s Day elsewhere in the world, so Happy Mother’s Day (as well as to women who have also been like mothers) to all the other mothers who are celebrating it today.

I remember doing that too when I was a child. Now that my kids are older it’s the cats that love jumping on the bed whenever I try and change the sheets lol.

    • Our cat is too lazy to do that! 😉 She just likes to lie on it. She used to glare at me every time I shooed her off the bed. But since her little adventure in the woods (getting lost and all) I promised her that I would never shoo her off again. So far, I’ve managed to keep that promise 🙂

OOhhh familiar scene in our household too =P We have low ceiling so its mostly him hitting the ceiling and not landing on his bum! Love that poster, banner too! Happy mothers day =)

We seem to have the same issue here, now we try and do it when they’re not around

    Thank you for linking up

    • That’s a good idea. I could actually move it to a Monday when she’s at play-school 🙂

We tried to teach Kitty not to jump on the bed when she was small and then Grandma let her jump on their bed so now we just tell her than you can only jump on Grandma’s bed – it’s usually the first thing she asks to do when we get to Grandma and Grandad’s house!

    • Annoyingly, that’s something we failed to teach her… jumping on the bed. Sigh. She likes to do it on her bed too and because of that her new(ish) bed now actually creaks!

I remember times like that…but then I’d jump aboard too ;D
My kids are grown up now and I haven’t seen them jump on a bed for many years!
Enjoy the sheer delight while you can x

    • That’s really one good way of seeing it actually! 🙂 Thanks for reminding me 😉

  9. Sunday is really a chore…
earlier we all use to enjoy on this weekend but today in our daily routine and busy schedule all the enjoyment is lost somewhere…
