  • The daffodils in our garden are a bit confused. They were set to bloom weeks ago until nature decided to dump inches of snow on them. They are still budding but hope they'll be out soon.

These are store bought. This post is dedicated to the lovely @tracie_west who loves them too. 😄
  • Struggling to like one of the main characters of the book I'm reading so taking a break from it to read some poetry by Carol Ann Duffy.

  • This is T waiting for her ballet exam to start yesterday. She said she wasn't nervous but after the exam she became really chatty and even livelier than her usual. I guess it was a big sigh of relief for her... until the next exam 😂

  • We found this vey quirky bookshop in one of the cobbled streets in Tenby. There were books stacked from floor to ceiling as you can see in the photo. It actually didn't look too safe to go in! The husband was pleased to have found the book "The Debacle" by Emile Zola in it while I was just glad the books didn't topple over while in there!

  • T was born in Exeter and so her dad thought that it would be nice for her to support Exeter FC and even became a Junior Grecian. Luckily her name was picked out and she was asked to be a mascot for the game last Saturday.

She met the football players got their autographs, was toured around the club with the other mascots. And walked beside her favorite player (Pierce Sweeney) before the match. And they won! Exeter 3-1 MK Dons. I think she went to her football practice last Monday really inspired. 😄

  • While we've had a couple of days of fun in the snow mostly sledging down the hill in a field near us, there's hardly any trace of the snow around us - as if it never happened! Do scroll to see how much snow we've had and though we did have the Beast from the East last year, it really isn't "normal" to snow this much here in Cornwall.

  • It started snowing yesterday afternoon. We didn't think it would settle but it kept snowing till early evening. When T came home from school, she finally had the chance to use her sledge. We bought it months ago "just in case". I'm glad we did!

School as expected is off today. The sun is out and I guess it will thaw soon. See our stories for more fun in the snow. Please scroll to see more!

  • Determined to finish this book today. It's Haruki Murakami's latest novel called "Killing Commendatore". It's a thick book but so worth plodding on especially if you're a Murakami fan like me and my husband. The book has its usual strange characters and unusual incidents, so Murakami. Now excuse me while I go back to my book... What are you currently reading?

  • AD | My husband calls little T mini-Dean. He says she's a lot like me & sadly it's not just that she looks like me, but she's also inherited my eczema :( Our GP prescribed Cetraben when she was very little (like in the photo). & now that T is 8, we've been using the same brand ever since. @cetraben_uk is a brand we genuinely trust & have done all these years so we are pleased to share it in case it can help you too! #Skinspirational

  • Little T surrounded by a bed of snowdrops while taking photos of the ruins outside Bluestone.. Can't really find anything much about it online apart from that its a manorial hall house built in the 14th century. Please scroll to see.more snowdrops. Don't you just love them?
