Hello Autumn

I woke up and it happened.  Autumn is here to stay.

To be fair, it didn’t exactly happen in a blink of an eye.  It sort of happened gradually.  I actually think we were in Bristol when it first made its presence felt.  We were in Stonehenge when it gave us a slap on the face and driving up to Oxford I looked around and saw it finally settle itself comfortably everywhere, although the autumn leaves which I so love have yet to come.

Yes, we are back from our trip.  We managed to show a bit of England and Wales to our American friend.  We would’ve loved to have shown him more but he had to get back to his work and life in the States.  Hopefully, we’ll see him again soon.  So now we are back to our quiet life in our little village.  T and I fell asleep in the car on our way back from Beds yesterday.  When I woke up, I was greeted by a thick blanket of mist, I knew we were back in Cornwall.

It’s nice to be back home.  I love my home! exclaimed my ever-dramatic-three-year-old as I unpacked our luggage.  Yes, I agreed with her with a sigh.  I’m glad to be home too, but not looking forward to doing my numerous chores …

  1. Hi Dean! I’m glad y’all had a good trip. It was the first day it’s felt like fall in Atlanta, too. Hope the chores aren’t too overwhelming! Lol – little T is hilarious! 🙂

    • Hi Samantha! Great to hear from you. Sigh, I’ve just done a load of ironing! & the house still looks like it’s been hit by a bomb. Hang on, our house always looks like it’s been hit by a bomb. Hahaha. Dean xx
