The sun has gone, temporarily I hope – instead we’ve been having grey clouds and rain. Then again, what am I saying? This won’t be England without the grey and rain, especially on a bank holiday weekend. It always rains.
However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t go on the beach in this weather! Just make sure you have a place to shelter once the rain starts pouring.
This is Crooklets beach in Bude. It’s not as lovely as the other beaches here in Cornwall, but what I like about this place is that it has a playground near the beach and an American-style diner called… Rosie’s Kitchen and another place that serves delicious but-a-bit-pricey soup that tastes a bit like the traditional Scottish soup, Cullen Skink.
Crooklets also has rock-pools the kids can explore, as seen above: Little T and F with their buckets and spade.
And of course, they made sandcastles, or what looked more like two towers.
His and hers.
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside… even in the grey.
What’s the weather like on your side of the world?
