Doc’s Best Friend

His name is Wilbur.

Wilbur’s human is also little T’s new best friend.

Well, one of her best-friends.

After all, you can have more than one right?

Wilbur is also a Springer Spaniel and they both love to spring around together like loonies.  Not only that, they are both male and the same age, two-years old.  Two nutty loonies who like to hang around together.

It’s a joy to watch them play.

Like all dogs, they like to chase each other.

Wilbur likes to chase Doc.

And Doc likes to play the leader.

Between the two, Doc is more “springy” and can jump the highest.

We’re wondering if he likes to show-off, “Look at me!  I can jump higher”.

Wilbur doesn’t seem to mind coming in second and likes to just play with his friend.

T loves her friend whose name also begins with “W”.

Doc loves his friend Wilbur.

And I’m sure Wilbur loves his new friend Doc too.

Does your dog have a best friend?

    That is so cute!
My friend BA dropped off his blue heeler this morning for 3 days – I don’t mind being a dog sitter, but I can honestly state, that he is not a friend of Shorty’s! Shorty, this tiny 6 lb chihuahua is the alpha, and frequently won’t let Jagger, easily 50 lbs, into the living room! It’s fun to watch them interact… or not, as the case may be!

how lovely for them to play with one another, my dog has a love-hate relationship with the cat, all on the cats terms of course

    • Our cat dumped us. I think it’s because of Doc. Our neighbour said that she was adopted by an old woman who lives alone. Can’t really blame her for choosing her over us. Still miss her though.

ooh thanks for sharing. Wilbur looks like a happy dog and I love the photos. I’m going to be starting a new dog series in the coming months if Wibur would like to feature on my blog? He is adorable. Angela stopping by from #AnimalTales

It’s great to see Doc and Wilbur playing together, they look like they have more energy than two kids who’re playing. #animaltales

Every doggy should have a furry best friend as well as a human best friend. Our two are inseparable.

Saari has several canine friends. I think Perle is her favourite at the moment although I suspect no-one will ever replace her Poppy. Even a year on I am sure sometimes I see a distant look in her eye as she remembers the very best of Labradors. Thank you for introducing us to Wilbur on #AnimalTales, he looks like a real character.

    • Aww. We always still think of our dear old Mutt even though he isn’t with us anymore.

I enjoyed seeing the dogs playing together! My house is full of animals, but they don’t always play together the way Doc and Wilbur seem to! Good times, great friends, fun photos!

    • Thanks. Yes, it’s nice for Doc to finally find a friend. Usually the dogs he meets daily up on the headland finds him too “excitable” 😉 x

Wilbur is adorable! Stella used to have a best doggy friend called Scooby who was a Springer Spaniel but he moved a long way away and sadly crossed the Rainbow Bridge quite recently. It’s unusual for her to get on well with other dogs so I love it when she makes a friend. Occasionally I go for walks with a photographer friend and if the dogs come too she gets on with his Springer really well…maybe that’s her favourite breed?! 🙂

    • Oh then I’m sure Stella will also get along well with Doc then even though he is only have Springer 😉 x
