What’s up Doc?

For those who have been following my blog for some time now, you’ll know that ever since our Mutley passed away, we knew that it would take some time before we would even think of having a dog join our family again.  But since T turned three, we’ve decided that the time has come.  Now I’m happy to share that our little family is now complete.  It took awhile to find him, but the wait was well worth it.

Meet Doc.  He is T’s six-week old Bedlington Terrier x Springer Spaniel.  Everyone is delighted to have him, well,  except for maybe one little member of our family … Boots.

This is Boots perched on top of the stairs, if I could read her mind I bet it would be saying this:  You just wait till it’s just you and me little pup and you are D-E-D.  Hear that?  D-E-D.  DED.  If looks could kill, our little Doc would be dead by now.

Now if only T isn’t down with a temperature, a bad cold and cough, I’d call this day perfect.  But of course as you can see from Bootsy’s expression, it was more like The Day my Life was Ruined.

Have a great week!  Now excuse me while I edit my “About Me” page.

Aww, such a cutie, almost makes me tempted to give in for the requests for a dog in our household… Almost…

    • Oh you should! =) But of course, it’s a family decision. Thanks for dropping by.

He is so adorable! Poor puss she is seriously unimpressed!

  3. Doc is so cute! I’m cracking up at Boots’s face, though. She is not amused.

    • My husband and I like to joke that she’s out looking for a hit man (in this case, a pup-man?) among the other cats in the neighbourhood. The price? She’s willing to give up her bowl of cat-food for Doc’s neck =p Or she’s in the look-out for a new family. Hahaha.

First I hope your T is on her way to better and then there is Doc, he is adorbs! I just love puppies, I mean they are just so darling, minus the potty training stage but once that’s down then it’s all good to go. And your cat, oh my gosh I laughed out loud when I saw that face. We are a family of two dogs and two cats and I love how they can coexist together. But we all know Boots will always be boss!

    • Yes and I think Doc is slowly learning that now! =) Can’t wait till he is potty-trained. If not, our house will smell like dog poo & wee! But of course, that’s all part of it.

Oh Doc is so cute – oh it’s wonderful having a dog. My dog passed away last year (at 17 1/2!) but we’re waiting until we return to UK before getting a new dog. At least my Mum got a puppy this summer which kept my kids happy.
    Definitely a magic moment.

What a fab pic of Boots – PURE evil!!! Doc is adorable and I wish you all many happy years together. Hope T gets well soon. Look forward to reading more posts about Doc and what you’ve all been up to together 🙂 #magicmoments

    • He is! You guys should get one, or maybe when your youngest is a bit older? 🙂

Know he won’t replace Mutley but Doc is just adorable, love him! Beautiful dog too, I hope he’s settling in well. I’m sure Boots will welcome him too when she’s ready. Sorry to hear T is feeling poorly, hope she feels better soon. Thank you so much for sharing with #whatsthestory

    • You’re right Charly, he won’t replace Mutt. Doc is an additional member of our little family. T is so much better, thank you. She actually even felt well-enough to go to play school 🙂

    • Thank you! Having loads of fun now watching Doc try to approach Boots and hear her actually growl! I never even knew cats could do that =p Thanks for dropping by!

I love the puppy stage but I also love the ‘I have learnt the rules’ stage – enjoy each other!

    • Can’t wait for the ‘I have learnt the rules stage!’ Thanks for dropping by.
