Here We Come Louby-Looe

The one good thing about living in the country is that you are never far away from lovely places to visit.  Last Friday we did just that – hopped in our car and drove to a charming small coastal town called Looe in South East Cornwall.  Its name is derived from the Cornish word Logh, which means deep water inlet.

It started out as a rainy day, but the sun came out as we sat and had our lunch at Trawlers at the Quay, a lovely restaurant that served fresh seafood or the latest catch of the day – a must visit if you’re in the area and love seafood.  It is a bit pricey, but so worth it!

We had to actually restrain our daughter from wanting to jump the rails and head for the ocean!

And then the dark ominous looking clouds crept up from behind us – that’s when we decided to head back to our car.  We weren’t so lucky and had to seek cover as not only rain but hail started to pour down on us… at least I say to myself, we had a few hours of bliss.
