All Decked Up!

Well almost, save for the Christmas tree.  We have this tradition in our little family, where we go to the Christmas tree farm every year and choose the perfect Christmas tree for our family and that is happening tomorrow!  Yay.  If I had my way actually, I’d have the tree up on the first of December, but yes I know if I did that, the needles will be all over the house even before the holiday season is over.

But of course, that doesn’t stop me from going all nutty and decorating the house on the 1st of December.  Yep!  Just to give you a peek on how Chrismassy our house looks like:

My mother loves glass baubles, so it’s not surprising that I would too.  But when you have a young child, glass ones are a bit of a no-no, unless of course you don’t mind them breaking – which I do.  But as much as I would love to hang them on our tree, I want them to last a long-long time, so instead I hang them where no little hands could reach them and accidentally break them.  Where?  Since I can’t deck the halls with boughs and holly (we don’t have a hall), I dress-up our mirror instead and that’s where I put my beloved glass baubles.

I also dressed our kitchen window this year.  Hey, I spend loads of time in my kitchen, in fact, I’m writing this blog-post on our kitchen table.  I want to be able to enjoy my Christmas decors without having to sit in our living room, why not the kitchen too right?

And here’s a photo of little T opening an early Christmas present from her J.  If you’re reading this, sorry J, T was there when the package from you arrived.  I opened it in front of her worried that I ordered something online and forgot all about it!  She saw the presents and demanded hers. S thought it was okay to open it.  She absolutely loved your present.  Will email soon!  We love our present too, especially S 🙂

Lastly, Christmas isn’t complete without our Chrismas crockery.

When I said I love Christmas, I wasn’t kidding, now you know 🙂

I’m linking this post-up with Sticky Fingers’ The Photo Gallery and this week’s theme is Festive.

Are you guys ready for Christmas?
